## Rule 4 and the First Schedule, Consent Managers

- Must be **incorporated as a company in India**.
- Must have **minimum net worth of Rs 2 crore**. *(Corroborated across sources; verify the figure
  in the First Schedule, Part A before quoting it.)*
- Must have sufficient **technical, operational and financial capacity**, and sound financial
  condition and general character of management.
- Registers with the **Board**. Obligations run **to the Data Principal**, per s.6(8) of the Act.
- Effective **14 November 2026**.
